Handicare 1000 with Perch Seat

The Handicare 1000 with Perch Seat allows an end user with restricted hip or knee joints to almost stand when they are using the stairlift.  There is a shortened seat and retractable seat belt which provides for a stable support for users to “perch” on.

The perch style seat also allows for travel on a very narrow staircase, where an end user would not have the room to travel in a seated position.  It is typically recommended for people with orthopedic issues which make it difficult to sit at a typical 90 degree angle.

It is important to note that this is not a “standing” stair lift.  Individuals are still required to bare weight on the seat itself while traveling up and down the staircase.

The perch seat has a 300 lb. weight capacity.
